The mix of reggaeton with pop music has not only brought an interest to the genre, but also to Latin music as a whole. Billboard's Top 100 featured two songs in Spanish mostly, and four in 2016. In the midst of the Despacito's popularity in 2017 there were 19 mainly Spanish tracks which made it into the top 100. In 2020, the number was 41. Justin Bieber's remix in two languages Despacito was released in the year. Soon after, pop stars began to collaborate with reggaeton singers. Drake collaborated with Bad Bunny to create MIA (2018) in addition to Madonna worked with Maluma in the creation of Medellin. Some reggaeton artists expressed their displeasure at the rise of mainstream music in the year 2020. A new band, Rauw Alejandro wanted to maintain the growth and evolution of reggaeton. Rauw Alejandro incorporated elements of other genres and electronic music.
