Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actor. She made her screen debut in her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic where she received the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. The actress speaks French, German, English and Romanian easily. Her mother played the violin She has a father who is a professor of theater at one of the best Romanian drama schools. Winner of the Best Female Actor of the Year in 2000 Award at The Young Actor Gala Mangalia. She received the honor of being named European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in 2008. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si 2 days (4 months, 3 weeks and 2 Days) made by Cristian Mungiu, which won the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two other prizes (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). Additionally, she was a part in the film of Francis Ford Coppola Youth Without Youth. She appeared as Yasim Awar in the BBC's 5 episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca appeared as Yasim Anwar in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, and in in the Romanian drama Boogie. In the feature film Fury (2014) in which she was Irma who was a German woman, who served as Emma's aunt.
